Property portal, iProperty.com.my has revealed that Shah Alam in Selangor is the most searched area by Malaysian house buyers on its website in 2019.
With a search percentage of 17.14 percent, Shah Alam, located in the Klang Valley, is the top pick for people who want to live in a greener, quieter surroundings, yet has easy access to multiple amenities.
"The most searched areas on iProperty.com.my are still concentrated in the Klang Valley townships for homes and residential properties.
"One thing in common that these areas share is easy accessibility to countless amenities such as shopping malls, hospitals, schools, transportation systems and thriving economic activities," said iProperty.com Malaysia Sdn Bhd and REA Group Ltd in a joint statement today.

Besides Shah Alam, areas such as Ara Damansara (16.98 percent), Cheras (13.15 percent), Bandar Utama (12.22 percent), Semenyih (11.96 percent), Petaling Jaya (7.91 percent), Rawang (5.50 percent), Subang Jaya (5.19 percent), Johor Bahru (5.16 percent), and Puchong (4.79 percent) were the top areas ranked according to consumers’ search behaviour data captured by iProperty.com.my’s big data solution, iPropertyiQ.com.
"These areas have recorded the highest number of searches among homebuyers who visited iProperty.com.my from January to November 2019," it added.
