Taking a swipe at PKR, Zahid pleased his party assembly peaceful

UMNO AGM | Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is pleased that his party's general assembly did not end up in a brawl like PKR's.
"We held our assembly at the Dewan Merdeka (at PWTC) since yesterday and the wings conducted their assemblies before that.
"I did not see anyone with a tengkolok (Malay headgear) and bleeding. There was no punching and fighting inside or outside of the hall," he said when winding-up the debate at the Umno general assembly this evening.
The incident of party members wanting to attend a parallel assembly and being threatened with expulsion also never happened in the history of Umno, according to him.

"This is the difference of Umno and other parties," added Zahid.
"We are civil, we have order and discipline. This is the culture of Umno since its establishment," he said.
It is obvious that Zahid was referring to the brawl that broke during the PKR Youth congress yesterday.
PKR had also threatened to sack members who attended any parallel congress.
At today's session of their congress, PKR deputy president Azmin Ali and his camp also staged a mass walkout after Anwar Ibrahim's supporters took verbal swipes at them in the debate. - Mkini
