AMANAH AGM | Titi Serong assemblyperson Hasnul Zulkarnain Abd Munaim has been appointed as the new Amanah Youth chief for the period 2019-2022.
"Thank you to all who have been appointed or otherwise in this election.
"InsyaAllah we will work together as a team for the future," said the Perak Amanah Youth chief in a Facebook post today.
Hasnul (photo), who is also a Perak state-exco member, replaced Taman Templer assemblyperson Sany Hamzan.
Meanwhile, former Amanah Youth vice-chief Shazni Munir Mohd Ithnin was appointed as the wing's deputy chief.
The three vice-chief positions saw the reappointment of Kevin Shawn Gomez and two new candidates, Johor Amanah Youth chief Taqiuddin Cheman and Federal Territories Amanah vice-chief Ahmad Zubair Wan Abdul Rahim.
The Amanah Youth leadership comprise 27 members who received the most votes from 365 delegates who gathered at the Batu Muda Community Hall, Kuala Lumpur, last night.
They are then appointed to their respective positions.
Yesterday also saw the appointment of Senator Aiman Athirah Al Jundi as Amanah Women Wing's chief for the 2019-2022 term, replacing Seri Serdang assemblyperson Siti Mariah Mahmud.
The fourth Amanah National Convention 2019 will begin at the Ideal Convention Centre in Shah Alam today until Sunday.
A total of 925 delegates will vote to elect 27 top leaders to fill the central leadership positions. - Mkini
