Wanita delegate to Umno leaders: Stop squabbling and stop making promises

An Umno Wanita delegate has urged the Umno leaders to behave and stop squabbling with each other.
Kuala Kedah Umno Wanita chief Noor Hasita Md Isa said the Wanita wing is uncomfortable with the actions of a few leaders up there who fight among themselves.
"Please, take care of the party. Stop fighting with each other," she said when debating at Umno Wanita general assembly at the Putra World Trade Centre today.
"(They have to) portray the party in a good image because the people are still observing and many of them are looking (for a good political) party," she said without naming any leader.

She urged these leaders not to take things for granted following the overwhelming victory in the Tanjung Piai by-election.
Nor Hasita said it was uncomfortable for the wing to listen to leaders who came out with all sorts of promises.
"There are too many promises. We heard about promises on (giving) minister posts and allocations. We are even afraid to hear the promise (about fielding someone) as a candidate," she said.
"Something good turn bad (with these promises). At the divisional level, we just want to work, stop all this.
"Stop all the remarks that would split the unity in the party," she added.
Political observers have raised concerns over the unity of Umno as its president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is facing multiple corruption charges and pressure to step down while former president Najib Abdul Razak with his "Bossku" moniker is making a comeback in the party.
Adding to the concerns is Umno leader Hishammuddin Hussein seen to be plotting a backdoor government with the ruling parties.
Ahmad Zahid had branded the disloyal leaders as "hopping reptiles" and said he would not field disloyal leaders as candidates in the next poll.
When met later, Umno deputy president Mohamad Hasan said Noor Hasita spoke the right thing about Umno.
"I think she said the right thing and we should take note (about that)," he said.
He said Umno accepted the good suggestions put forward by delegates but would view their remarks as only "advice" when they spoke wrongly about the party.  - Mkini
