Why criticise LGBT groups, but not corruption, PH MP asks PAS

Labis MP Pang Hok Liong asks PAS MP Che Abdullah Mat Nawi why the party keeps harping on LGBT but not on corruption in the country.
KUALA LUMPUR: A Pakatan Harapan MP today asked a PAS MP why the Islamist party does not condemn corruption but goes on and on about LGBT.
Pang Hok Liong (PH-Labis) raised this question in the Dewan Rakyat when Che Abdullah Mat Nawi (PAS-Tumpat) was speaking against LGBT groups, urging them to return to “the right path”.
“I have not heard PAS raising issues on corruption. Why criticise only this minority group?” asked Pang.
While debating the annual report of the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam), Che Abdullah had said being a member of the LGBT community was against Islam.
After Pang’s comment, Che Abdullah retorted that he had not raised the issue of corruption as PAS had not been accused of graft.
But RSN Rayer (PH-Jelutong) stood up to say there was a corruption case implicating former PAS deputy president Nasarudin Mat Isa at the Shah Alam High Court.
Dewan Rakyat speaker Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof reminded MPs that the debate was on Suhakam’s report.
Che Abdullah, seeking permission from the speaker to continue with his debate, again said PAS wanted LGBT individuals to return to “the right path”.
Che Abdullah also claimed some Muslims in the private sector were not allowed to attend Friday prayers and that some Muslim women were not allowed to “wear clothing according to Islam”.
“I have raised this several times but I have not received any proper reply,” he said adding that this was a basic right of Muslims. - FMT
