YOURSAY | ‘How many times do Malaysians have to go through the same narrative?’
Solo: The only reason PKR leader Anwar Ibrahim is accused of sodomy or other sexual allegations for the third time is because they were successful previously.
In 1998, he was imprisoned for six years. In 2015, he was jailed for three years. Both manufactured to stop Anwar from becoming prime minister by the then premier.
He was pardoned in 2018 and recognised as a victim of political attack and miscarriage of justice. It’s time to break the kangaroo court.
Kural: It is excruciating even for ordinary people to witness Anwar, his family, his supporters and PKR being put through such anguish at these challenging times.
Citizens troubled by the lack of leadership from Dr Mahathir Mohamad as PM are surely troubled by this turn of events. Many are depressed with the nation’s negative prospects to resolve many of the deep-set problems confronting it.
Krisman: It looks like Yusoff has to find a new script to act on. How many times do Malaysians have to go through the same narrative? This questions the very intelligence of all Malaysians.
The man and all his friends who stole billions from all the Malaysian citizens are left to roam free while a guy who was charged with some trumped-up accusation has to go through the same bulls**t for the third time.
Apa Ini: And this 27-year-old wasn't able to scream and shout or kick his way out of the room against a 72-year-old with a bad back?
Same old, same old. Just a different young man.
Clever Voter: Indeed, one would have been reminded that the accused is more than 70 years old against a strong man in his 20s. In other words, why waste police resources on such nonsense?
Capo: Now is the perfect time for Anwar to show his fangs.
Be merciless and ruthless just like Asoka the Great. Before becoming the emperor, Asoka, although peace-loving, had to constantly endure treachery and deceit from his family members, court plotters and subversive elements.
When he finally became the emperor, he was so vicious and ruthless that his immediate plotters and saboteurs were the first to die by his sacred sword. He fought countless wars and glorified his kingdom. In the end, he gave up bloodshed to spread peace and harmony in the name of Buddha.
Kangkung: Why is the police not investigating or charging PKR deputy president Azmin Ali under any section yet? Why is Azmin so special? Who on earth would believe it takes a year to verify the sex video in the US?
Anyway, they got Haziq Aziz who openly declared that he was in bed with the PKR leader at Four Points Hotel, Sandakan, Sabah between 1am and 2am on May 11.
So why is Azmin not charged? Why is Muhammed Yusoff Rawther so special but not Haziq Aziz?
John Doe: Oh, boy. The alleged sexual harassment happened last year and you made the report now, what timing.
Why don't you make the report after Anwar became the next prime minister? The drama will be even more interesting. Is it because now there is nobody to stop Anwar from becoming PM?
Anonymous_1544340881: Let us take Yusoff’s motivations at face value "that he wants justice for himself under the law".
In the world today with short attention spans, phrases are thrown around but what does it actually mean? The only "justice" is to get vindication through retribution against the person who "hurt" you because one feels soiled and shamed, especially when it involves sexual crimes.
So, the questions which puzzle me are first, why do so in such a public way, this only increases the shame and embarrassment.
Second, why is there a need to do a statutory declaration (SD), why not just go and lodge a police report quietly and leave it to the police to act accordingly? It is as if you are afraid that when you lodge a report you might "forget" something, so better to get a lawyer to draft everything so you don't need to memorise the "assault".
Third, why wait a year. Fourth, why when you finally lodge a police report with a SD, you do so in a most public way calculated to garner maximum publicity during the PKR congress (which only increases all the shame and embarrassment, something most normal victims would avoid at all cost).
Fifth, an allegation is made that is one that is totally devoid of objective contemporaneous evidence. This is very unusual.
Why not try to get a video on it or at least tape record sexual crimes of such a nature as this "harassment" often go on for some time. Surely, if you want to complain about someone 'important', you will gather proof so that you won't be mocked or laughed at.
What is the most puzzling is the sheer confidence exhibited that the complaint would be acted upon at the highest levels in Bukit Aman, no less that his interview was so expeditious. Kudos to the PDRM, I stand corrected - all these times I assumed that you moved slowly. Instead, in this particular case, you did so with such commendable speed and without the need for video evidence too.
It just seems like a trumped-up matter with a D-grade script compared to the Sandakan videos.
Evin K: It is not so much that Yusoff’s allegations seem farfetched and conveniently timed but it is more the fact that Anwar, knowing well that there have always been and will always be enemies amongst friends and people out there who are willing to do anything to wipe him off politically, would expose himself to another sexual scandal of this nature.
Why would Anwar, of all people, given his history, risk everything all over again just to behave inappropriately with another employee, especially during one of the most important periods of not only his political career but his entire life, and during the Port Dickson by-election at that - not only does this not make any sense whatsoever, it will be almost impossible for Yusoff to prove anything.
Gerard Lourdesamy: In this country, justice, like the law, can be a complete ass when it comes to Anwar. - Mkini

ReplyDeleteDon't simply comment just for the sake of commenting. Didn't you understand that he refused to be sodomised and even refused to hold Anwar's itchy dick.
Didn't you know that this kinky bisexual Anwar is already addicted to shit holes! Understand that once you do it you will get addicted to, what the Malays say, "KEMUT KELILING"
