Azmin's 100-days achievements include being a 'media icon'

International Trade and Industry Minister Azmin Ali has informed Parliament of his nine achievements since taking up the job in March.

One of them which reads: "Becoming Miti's icon among the media".

This was listed in his written reply to Kluang MP Wong Shu Qi who had asked Azmin on his achievements for the two years when he was former economic affairs minister and the 100 days since taking up his new portfolio.

Azmin also credits himself as being the leader of policymakers who reopened the economy during the movement control order period, led Miti's engagement with industry leaders, led the cabinet committee on the stimulus packages, represented Malaysia in bilateral talks, supported efforts by local firms to embrace digitalisation and big data and finally, ensured Miti's efforts supported the various stimulus packages.

On his achievement when he was part of the Pakatan Harapan administration, Azmin credited himself as the architect of the Shared Prosperity Vision 2030 and the 12th Malaysia Plan.

Other achievements he listed included the allocation of billions in funds and the initiation of projects for rural development or underdeveloped states.

On his contributions towards the agriculture industry, Azmin said he had tabled the Federal Land Development Authority White Paper on April 10.

He also credited himself for the higher profits posted by Felcra Bhd in 2019. - Mkini
