KUALA LUMPUR: Senior Minister for Security Ismail Sabri Yaakob today announced that foreigners living in Malaysia will be allowed to join Friday prayers in mosques from Sept 1 onwards.
He said they will be required to register, while mosque committees can decide to turn them away if there is no space.
“In general, we will allow them to join prayers. But they must comply with the SOPs set by the mosques,” he said in a press conference at Parliament today.
