DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng has arrived at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court today where he is to be charged for his alleged involvement in the RM6.3 billion Penang undersea tunnel project.
Yesterday, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) said the former finance minister would also be charged under Section 23 of the MACC Act 2009 at the Sessions Court in Penang on Aug 10 and Aug 11.
Guan Eng arrived from Putrajaya where he had spent the night in the MACC lockup.
He was arrested after being quizzed for more than an hour at the commission's headquarters in Putrajaya tonight.
A number of supporters were seen waiting at court for Lim, who is also Bagan MP, including his father veteran DAP leader Lim Kit Siang.
A large group of reporters were also present.
