The son of former Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng has accused the government of framing his father to bring down DAP and Pakatan Harapan.
Taking to Facebook last night, Marcus Lim pledged that they will fight back these dirty politics used on the opposition.
"My dad was arrested just now. To be honest, we expected this day to come since the downfall of the government of Pakatan Harapan.
"Their plan is simple, to frame and capture those leaders who wouldn’t bow down to their dirty scheme.
"Their motive is clear, to dismantle DAP, ultimately destroying Harapan," said the 25-year-old.
"They thrive on dirty politics, making the right wrong, and the wrong right. Unfortunately, this is how politics work here," he said.
"Don't worry, We will fight back. Definitely," vowed Marcus.
In a protest move, Guan Eng's wife Betty Chew (above) uploaded a blackout image in her social media.
"God is watching," she said.
Guan Eng will be charged in Kuala Lumpur today for his alleged involvement in the RM6.3 billion Penang undersea tunnel project.
MACC said the former finance minister will also be charged under Section 23 of the MACC Act 2009 at the Sessions Court in Penang on Aug 10 and Aug 11.
