PETALING JAYA: Ninety individuals, including ministers, who were in close contact with Datuk Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, have been screened for Covid-19 and found negative, says Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
The Health director-general also said the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) was currently being treated and in a stable condition.
“So far, the related health district offices are in the midst of identifying others who had been in close contact with him (Zulkifli) and conducting the risk evaluation and required screening,” he said during a press conference live-streamed on Facebook on Tuesday (Oct 6).
On Monday, Zulkifli tested positive for Covid-19, triggering self-quarantine for a host of officials including Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and other ministers.
They had all attended a special meeting on Covid-19 at the Prime Minister's Department in Putrajaya on Saturday (Oct 3).
Dr Noor Hisham, who was present at the meeting, is self-isolating at home.
So is Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
Others present during the meeting included Senior Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Senior Education Minister Dr Radzi Jidin, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba and Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador. - Star
