COVID-19 | Four security force personnel on duty during the Sabah state election tested positive for Covid-19 upon their return to Sarawak.
According to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee, the four had left for Sabah on Sept 25 and returned to Kuching via the Airforce Airport there on Sept 28.
The four were placed under a 14-day quarantine at the local Police Training Center and had initially tested negative after their first test.
A swab test on their 10th day of their quarantine, however, showed they were positive for the virus.
All four are asymptomatic and have been warded at the Sarawak General Hospital.
The Sabah state election has been partly blamed for the spread of Covid-19 in the country.
As of Oct 8, there have been 283 cases of Covid-19 linked to travel to Sabah since Sept 20. - Mkini
