SEPANG: Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) is joining the “10.10“ global sale frenzy by offering fantastic discounts on its ecommerce platform shopMYairports.
The online platform is part of MAHB’s Airports 4.0 initiative, which aims to use technology to enhance the total airport experience.
While air travel remains restricted, shopMYairports focuses on home shoppers and non-travellers.
MAHB general manager for commercial business Hani Ezra Hussin said the platform provides the opportunity to those who miss shopping at the airport to enjoy great deals on duty-absorbed products; ranging from beauty and cosmetics, fashion, electronics, food and beverage, and more.
“This is Malaysia’s first travel-retail e-commerce platform which will allow the public to purchase travel-exclusive and duty-absorbed products, delivered directly to their homes,” she said.
On Oct 10, an additional 10% will be offered for all chocolate and confectionery products, selected perfume and cosmetics and the platform will offer free nationwide shipping for purchases over RM300.
A “10.10” contest is also being held, in which three lucky shoppers will win RM1,010 worth of shopping vouchers each.
Until midnight on Oct 10, any shopper who spends over RM100 at shopMYairports is eligible to win one of three shopping vouchers worth RM1,010.
Hani also said once travel resumes, MAHB will be launching their “Click & Collect” service enabling shoppers to make purchases online for collection at their destination airport. This includes duty-free items.
“We are also working on providing concierge services that will enable purchases to be delivered directly to the gate or in-flight, direct to the shopper’s seat,” added Hani.
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Alipay, UnionPay and WeChat Pay are all accepted. - FMT
