COVID-19 | No individual who attended the Oct 3 National Security Council meeting chaired by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has tested positive for Covid-19.
This was confirmed by Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah during his virtual press conference today.
"As of Oct 11, all individuals who attended the Oct 3 meeting have been tested negative," he said to a question submitted by the media.
Concerns were raised over a potential new cluster as the meeting was attended by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri who tested positive for Covid-19.
Following the meeting, Muhyiddin said all close contacts, including Cabinet ministers who attended the meeting, have been issued a Home Surveillance Order (HSO) for 14 days beginning Oct 3 and were told to wear a surveillance wristband.
Others present included various deputy ministers and Noor Hisham himself, resulting in the Health Ministry's press conference being held virtually.
It was previously reported that other close contacts of Zulkifli, including at the Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia campus in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, had also tested negative. - Mkini
