The police have resubmitted the investigation papers into Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Khairuddin Aman Razali's breach of his quarantine order to the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC).
Bukit Aman CID deputy director Mior Faridalathrash Wahid confirmed this latest development in the investigation and he went on to indicate that the probe has yet to be concluded.
Asked if the investigation papers were resubmitted, Mior told Malaysiakini: "Yes, for further checks."
Khairuddin, the Kuala Nerus MP, was probed for violating quarantine orders after returning from a semi-official work trip to Turkey in July.
In August, the Health Ministry slapped an RM1,000 fine on Khairuddin.
On Sept 30, Bukit Aman CID director Huzir Mohamed said the AGC had instructed the police to take "several more actions" on the investigation and he expressed hope that "the police would be able to fulfil the instructions soon".
For the record, Khairuddin has been adamant that he did not do anything wrong.
In August, when asked to comment on his case, Khairuddin said: "I did not do anything wrong in regard to my job, it only involved an error over the issue of the SOPs.
"I have my own view but I let the police (to probe). The Health Ministry had also issued a statement. For me, it's solved, although I have my own view," he said. - Mkini
