The Sabah chief minister has been discharged from the hospital following his recovery from Covid-19.
Hajiji Mohd Noor and his wife Julia Salag were discharged from Queen Elizabeth hospital in Kota Kinabalu this morning.
In a statement, Hajiji, who was sworn in as chief minister on Sept 29, expressed concern about the increase in Covid-19 cases.
"What's more important is that the people must be disciplined, cooperate, and adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOP)," he said.
He thanked the state health director Dr Christina Rundi, the hospital's director Dr William Gotulis, and infectious disease unit chief Dr Lee Heng Gee, as well as other doctors and nurses for their help.
Early this month, Hajiji became the first head of state government in Malaysia to be infected with the coronavirus.
Prior to that, he was undergoing self-quarantine after being exposed to his staff member who contracted Covid-19. - Mkini
