Samuel Isaiah : Devoted Teacher Gets Global Recognition Plus YDP Agong's Interest

English teacher Samuel Isaiah in 10 finalist  of 2020 Global Teacher Prize 

captured attention of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah

young teacher from Kuantan has made country famous on international stage

YDP Agong also expressed hope Samuel’s great achievement and commitment would be a source of inspiration and example to all Malaysians, especially teachers, to give their best and strive for success in their respective fields in the country or on the world stage.

“His Majesty also wishes him good luck and prays that he will win the prize and be blessed with continuous success in the field of education,”  statement Istana Negara today.

introduced “Speak Up With Poetry” programme 

write poems related to Orang Asli culture

school’s average pass rate in English increased 

from 30% in 2012 to 80% - 85% in 2015-2018, said Varkey Foundation

Certainly a world class effort. Semoga Cikgu Sam akan berjaya dipilih guru terbaik dalam seluruh dunia.  

Cikgu Sam termasuk dalam senarai calon Top 10  (daripada 12,000 guru seluruh dunia) sudah pun menjadi pencapaian yang terbaik. Congratulations.
