Hishammuddin Hussein said BN MPs will discuss if Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin should step down following the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's rejection of his proposal for a state of emergency.
The foreign minister said this when met at the Umno headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, where BN lawmakers gathered for a meeting this afternoon.
“We are discussing it. I want to hear from BN (regarding their) position,” replied the newly-minted Umno treasurer-general when quizzed on Muhyiddin's position.
On whether Umno is still supporting the Perikatan Nasional government, he said: “I don't know, we have to wait for Umno's meeting first.”
