KOTA BARU: More than 50 Federal Court and Court of Appeal judges are expected to receive their Covid-19 vaccine jabs tomorrow.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Parliament and Law) and Kota Baru MP Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said members of the senior judiciary would be followed by judges from the High Court.
"The vaccination exercise will start from the Federal level first and later will be extended to the states.
"My department will be contacting all state governments soon to inform them about the vaccination exercise," he told reporters at his Parliamentary Service Centre at Jalan Bayam here, today.
At the state level, Takiyuddin said the exercise would involve Sessions Court judges as well as magistrates and public prosecutors.
It is learnt that tomorrow's exercise would be led by Chief Justice Tun Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat.
Previously Takiyuddin said the Government recognised judges and legal officers as frontliners as their call of duty that placed them in direct contact with the public.
He also said the government had allocated adequate amounts of vaccines to be administered to all judges in the country. - NST
