PETALING JAYA: A woman said to be Covid-19 positive collapsed and died outside a clinic in Klang today.
South Klang police chief Shamsul Amar Ramli said a family member told police that the woman was sent to a polyclinic in Taman Sentosa, Klang, for treatment this morning after she complained of not feeling well.
He said in a statement that the woman had collapsed in front of the clinic even before she had a chance to receive treatment. A doctor at the clinic had tried in vain to revive her.
An ambulance arrived at around 10.45am and a health officer confirmed the death. Her body was then sent to the Shah Alam Hospital for a RT-PCR test.
Initial investigations found there was no injury or anything to suggest foul play in the 45-year-old woman’s death, Shamsul said.
The case has been classified as sudden death.
Based on a RTK-Ag test, the woman had Covid-19. She has had other medical conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes since two years ago. - FMT
