PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has urged Malaysians not to fall for the “kerajaan gagal” or failed government campaign against the Perikatan Nasional administration.
Bernama reported that Muhyiddin asked the people to be patient as Putrajaya managed the ongoing health and economic crises, while urging them not to believe the claims that PN failed to manage the Covid-19 pandemic.
Malaysia saw record high Covid-19 cases for two consecutive days with 11,079 infections reported on Tuesday and 11,618 yesterday.
Meanwhile, Malaysians have taken their frustrations with PN to social media on multiple occasions, coming up with slogans like “kerajaan gagal” and “kerajaan pembunuh”, among others.
Bukit Aman’s CID has initiated investigations into the campaign for sedition, public mischief and misuse of network facilities for offensive purposes.
Speaking at the launch of the Bakul Prihatin Negara programme today, Muhyiddin reiterated that Putrajaya would not compromise in looking after the people’s welfare until the pandemic subsided.
He said Bakul Prihatin Negara was proof that the PN government was committed to protecting Malaysians’ well-being, adding that RM22 million had been allocated for the first phase of this programme. - FMT
