PUTRAJAYA: Ten localities in Sabah are among areas that will be placed under an enhanced movement control order (MCO) beginning Wednesday (July 14), says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
Among the affected localities are Taman Muhibbah Phases 1, 2 and 3 in Beaufort while in Keningau, Kampung Patikang Ulu, Focus Lumber factory and staff quarters, Veracity factory and staff quarters, Hasi Jadi factory and staff quarters, IDA driving centre as well as an Indonesian settlement will be placed under lockdown.
In Penampang, Kampung Madsiang, Apartment Beverly Hills Phase 2 and Kampung Kobusak will also be under the enhanced MCO.
The Deputy Prime Minister also said Felda Lembah Klau in Raub, Pahang; Kampung Kendaie and Kampung Bukit Batu in Lundu, Sarawak; as well as Felda Maokil in Muar, Johor; will also be affected.
“These localities will be placed under an enhanced MCO to enable authorities to control movement of people to prevent further infectivity. The order will be for 14 days until July 27,” he said on Monday (July 12).
He also said the enhanced MCO placed on Taman Benus Jaya flats in Bentong, Pahang, will be extended until July 27. - Star
