Health Ministry conducts survey on nation’s readiness to live with Covid-19

The Health Ministry is conducting a survey to assess the nation’s readiness to move into the endemic phase of Covid-19.

Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah shared a Google form link on his Facebook this morning, with the headline “Are you ready to live with Covid-19?”.

In the questionnaire, participants are asked to select the options that best describe their understanding of an endemic Covid-19 and their inclinations to agree with the continuation of current Covid-19 standard operating procedures.

“This survey is to identify the readiness of Keluarga Malaysia to live with Covid-19.

“There are no true or false answers. The findings of this survey will be used to improve health promotion and education strategies in educating and empowering Keluarga Malaysia to live with Covid-19,” the survey said in its introduction.

Participants would be subjected to about 20 questions in total on preventive measures they would take in general and when attending social occasions or public places during the endemic phase of Covid-19.

They can select on a scale between one to five on whether they agree or disagree with the measures listed, and yes or no on certain questions.

No sensitive information would be shared during the survey, including the participant’s email address.

They would only be asked to provide an age group and working status, as well as the state and district they are residing in.

Those interested to participate in the questionnaires survey can do so here.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin previously announced that Covid-19 would be treated as an endemic and Malaysians need to accept that Covid-19 is here to stay and learn to live with the virus.

He also said new rules would be introduced by the government soon for people to return to their normal lifestyle safely, although he did not specify when. - Mkini
