The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department has confirmed that a fire at a private hospital in Port Klang did not claim any victims.
In a statement earlier today, the Fire and Rescue Department said that a fire had broken out in a wardroom with an area of 400 sq ft at Pantai Hospital Klang last night.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis reportedly said that the department had received a distress call at about 11.30pm last night.
A team from Port Klang Fire and Rescue Station was later dispatched to the scene and arrived around 11.42 pm.
The team evacuated 30 individuals which included 12 female and 16 male patients.
Twenty staff members were also evacuated, including two female paediatric caregivers.
There were no reported casualties from the fire outbreak.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze within 30 minutes. - Mkini
