Parti Kuasa Rakyat pro-tem president Kamarazaman Yaakob said his new party will be BN-friendly.
The older brother to Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said this during the launch of his new party in Kuala Lumpur today.
“Parti Kuasa Rakyat has decided that this party will be government-friendly because what we want to fight for can only be done if the party is friendly with the government of the day.
“Because to get free houses for the needy or free education for poor children or free healthcare for those who need it, it will not happen if we are not friendly with the government of the day, and our party is multi-racial," said Kamarazaman (above).
Also present at the launch of the new party today were former Kelantan PKR chairperson Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Hassan, former Padang Serai MP N Gobalakrishnan and former Pahang Amanah chairperson Hamzah Jaaffar, among others.
Meanwhile, Kamarazaman said he did not get his brother’s blessing in forming his new party.
“There was none. If you look at my fight since the Universiti Malaya campus until now, in my history of involvement in political parties, my decisions have never once followed the prime minister’s line of thoughts.
“But there are some similarities because we are both the sons of a rubber tapper,” he said. - Mkini
