Police have arrested three men to assist investigations into an incident in which a bulldozer rammed into a four-wheel-drive vehicle at an oil palm plantation in Labu Kubong last Wednesday.
Hilir Perak district police chief ACP Ahmad Adnan Basri said the three men, aged 28 to 47, were nabbed about 4pm yesterday.
He said the incident was believed to have occurred after the 24-year-old victim dug up the road by his farm to make a trench as the area was frequently inundated about 10am Wednesday but it was covered up but unknown individuals in the afternoon.
“An argument broke out between the victim and the suspects until one of the suspects slapped the victim’s neck while the bulldozer operator had rammed into the four-wheel-drive vehicle belonging to the complainant’s father, causing damage,” he said in a statement today.
Adnan said the three men have no previous criminal records and police would make the remand application at the Teluk Intan Magistrates’ Court today.
