COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 21,315 new Covid-19 cases today.
As of last night, the R-number if 1.43 for the entire country. A figure of more than 1.00 suggests that the spread of Covid-19 is accelerating.
The average number of daily admission of Covid-19 patients was 1,628 as of yesterday, up 41.9 percent compared to a week ago.
As of yesterday, there were 6,292 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised while only a fraction (187) are in intensive care.
The highest number of ICU patients are in the Klang Valley (40) followed by Sabah (36) and Johor (28).
Hospital bed utilisation by Covid-19 patients remains below the 80 percent mark for all states except for Johor (81 percent). - Mkini
