ALOR STAR: Eight houses were damaged in a thunderstorm that lashed six villages in Yan district this evening.
Yan Civil Defence Force officer Norlizawati Ismail said all the affected homes had their roofs blown away in the 4pm incident.
She said among the affected villages were Kampung Kuala Sungai Limau, Kampung Tengah Sungai Limau, Kampung Kuala Sedaka in Sungai Daun while in Yan itself, the affected village was Kuala Sungai Yan.
"Also affected were Kampung Dulang Besar in Dulang and Kampung Batu 18 in Sala Besar," she said in a statement.
However, no one was injured in the incident. - NST
