Umno deputy president Mohamad Hasan has revealed that he tested positive for Covid-19 last week.
The former Negeri Sembilan menteri besar shared this information upon completing seven days of quarantine.
According to Mohamad (above), although he always adhered to standard operating procedures (SOPs), he still could not escape the virus.
"Alhamdulillah, today is the seventh day of my self-isolation period.
"I am very careful in adhering to the SOPs, (but) I was still exposed to Covid-19.
"Be careful, the virus is already widespread in the community," he wrote on Facebook today.
Several politicians including Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein also tested positive for Covid-19 recently. He is undergoing isolation at the Tuanku Mizan Armed Forces Hospital.
Yesterday, Youth and Sports Deputy Minister Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal and Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun contracted Covid-19 as well.
Ready for Johor polls campaign
Mohamad said that with quarantine over, he is eager to start campaigning in Johor.
"I can't wait to go down to Johor," he added.
The nomination day for the state polls is set to take place tomorrow, while Johoreans will cast their ballots on March 12. - Mkini
