KUALA LUMPUR: There will be no restrictions imposed on economic activities including Ramadan bazaars this year, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
However, the Prime Minister said the bazaar's standard operating procedure (SOP) would be refined and announced at a later date.
"We will not close any business, whether it is Raya, the fasting month, the Ramadan market, the night market, it will still be open as usual," he told reporters after attending the Malaysian Family Chinese New Year Lou Sang Luncheon here on Sunday (Feb 13).
Earlier this month, Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Dr Shahidan Kassim said that Ramadan bazaars in the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan will be allowed to operate this year in compliance with existing standard operating procedures (SOP).
