The Power Of Vladimir Putin

 The UK and their lapdog the US are still pushing the War over Ukraine agenda. But they are not prepared to commit their own troops for a war against Russia over Ukraine. As usual they want lesser countries in NATO to send in the troops first. This is from January 24th 2022:

"According to Reuters, NATO is addressing the situation by putting forces on standby and reinforcing Eastern Europe with ships and fighter jets. So far, NATO has about 4,000 troops in multinational battalions in Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland, backed by tanks, air defenses, and intelligence and surveillance units."

Addressing the situation?? Are they yelling over loudhailers? 4,000 NATO troops in Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia? What about Transylvania? Where Count Dracula lives?  The distance from Talinn (Estonia) to Kiev (Ukraine) is 1,300 km. The NATO troops are just sitting in their barracks. They are not anywhere near the frontlines.

Two days ago President Macron the Peacemaker visited President Putin in Moscow - trying to ease the "imaginary tensions".  Imaginary because Russia is just sitting tight. Doing nothing. The Russians have over 100,000 troops near their border with Ukraine but that is where they live. Russians troops are sitting inside their barracks inside Russia.

Putin and Macron had a Press Conference. Here is a one minute clip :

 

After saying that Russia does not want a war Mr Putin says point blank that the military capacity of NATO is incomparable - to Russia's. Indeed Russia is a military superpower and can crush any army in Europe, including the 'mighty' German army. (They have done it quite devastatingly once before - in the Second World War). 

But Germany is closer to Russia now than they are towards the US (and the UK). Plus a huge chunk of Germany's gas comes from Russia. 

And France is not even a member of NATO. So France has no part in the UK and USA's imaginary quarrel with Russia.

For Russia the Crimea is not an issue at all.  It has been a part of Russia for a long time. 90% of the 2 million population in Crimea are native Russian speaking. 

Mr Putin does not want Ukraine to become a member of NATO. (I think he would also like Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Transylvania etc  to pull out of NATO. Lets see.)

This is a macho stare-down. Someone has to blink first. Who will blink first, the UK/USA or Russia? President Macron going to Moscow is already a half-blink.

No one else is losing sleep over this. 

How is this relevant to us here in Malaysia? The power structure around the world is shifting. Pay attention.
