PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang has commended non-Muslims who dress in a “humane” manner with dignity.
“(Some of our rivals) oppose (our) instructions to cover the aurat which is mandatory among Muslims.
“(This was despite) some non-Muslim communities who are required (by their religion) to dress decently based on humane values with dignity and self-respect. They are respected by (adherents) of all religions and civilisations.
“Don’t be like liberals who are without shame, similar to animals who cannot think and have no dignity. This (problem) is plaguing the West now,” said Hadi.
He said this in his “Minda Presiden'“ article which appeared on his Facebook page, where he accused Perikatan Nasional’s rivals of Islamophobia by trying to label the coalition’s success as a “green wave”.
He specifically accused DAP of being the main opponent of PAS’ Islamic policies, claiming DAP tried to intervene in the banning of alcohol and gambling in Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, and Perlis.
“Are all these (legitimate) reasons to warn of the ‘dangers’ of the ‘green wave’?” asked Hadi.
He also accused several media outlets of being “shamelessly” used to portray PAS-administered states in a bad light.
“(These media organisations) are worse than animals, who cannot think for themselves. This is because even animals know how to choose the best fruits.
“Some are trying to look for issues that occurred because of the cruel sanctions on the state, which disrespected the principles of democracy and the concept of federalism,” he said. - Mkini
