PETALING JAYA: Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) battered Selangor FC 6-1 to clinch the FA Cup at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur tonight, aided by a hattrick by Spanish winger Juan Muniz.
JDT led 2-0 at half-time thanks to goals from wingers Muniz and Arif Aiman Hanapi in the 26th and 42nd minute, respectively.
Selangor managed to snatch one goal back shortly after the break through winger Alvin Fortes.
However, JDT romped to a stylish win to lift the cup through further goals from Bergson Da Silva (62nd minute), two more from Muniz (67th and 90th) and Heberty Fernandes (76th).
Some 80,350 fans attended the match tonight, officiated by referee Nazmi Nasaruddin. - FMT
