THE bigger they are, the harder they fall. The strong, successful and mighty observe these words of wisdom which have proven time and time again, to be true.
And in the arena of politics, political heavyweight Tun Mahathir, not so heavy anymore, is one fine example. Malaysians need no reminder that his party Pejuang in the last general election lost every seat, including him.
It is a painful blow to his honor, one that he won’t forget easily. To add salt to the wound, he is already 100 years old, at an age where he should be leaving behind a great legacy for all to remember.
But will it get any worse? It does. Recently, a netizen got quite the attention on his post on X for pointing out Tun M’s alliance with Papagomo, calling it the lowest point in his life. Safe to say, the fiery post got quite a good deal of tongues wagging.
Note that Papagomo, also known as Wan Muhammad Azri, was a controversial blogger for his posts which are at times downright slander or steeped in racism.
“This old man is never finished with his mad plans of overthrowing the government,” said @safwan_suf26460 in the comment section while @OppoA3718047450 added that Tun M is now gathering with the garbage of society and slander makers.

“Pitiful Tun, from a statesman now he is a disturber,” said @yusry_danie. But it appears Tun M has his supporters too, and it came in the form of @BadrunBerahim.

“Are you jealous? Anyway Tun M the best,” added @Batukapur99. Note that in Aug this year, Papagomo pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate’s Court to a charge of failing to notify authorities of a change in business details.
The charge relates to his business, Invoice Solutions, being used to receive public donations to pay a defamation fine connected to a case involving Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Also, the High Court in 2024 directed him to remove defamatory statements made against the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Tan Sri Razarudin Husain after having lost the case. The man is building up a legacy of infamy.
In other words, Tun M should know better than to mix around with the wrong crowd. After all, birds of a feather flock together. Or perhaps our dear Tun wants to prove the point. — Focus Malaysia
