Umno publishes Q&A on N Sembilan crisis explaining no-confidence move against MB

 

Negeri Sembilan Umno has published a seven-page explainer on its Facebook page to shed light on the ongoing political turmoil in the state.

The political upheaval in the state escalated after all 14 Umno state assemblypersons withdrew their support for Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun, citing a loss of confidence in his leadership amid an ongoing dispute linked to the state’s royal and customary law institutions.

The move was supported by five Perikatan Nasional assemblypersons who expressed readiness to cooperate and form a government with BN. 

The Negeri Sembilan legislative assembly has 36 seats, and the combined 19 seats from BN and PN are sufficient to form a new government with a simple majority.
