A recent street interview on TikTok has become an unlikely advertisement for Mercedes, receiving over 26,000 likes and over 32,000 shares.
In the video, a lady said she would never date a guy driving a Myvi, instead preferring someone who owns a Mercedes.
Such blatant materialism is sure to draw a lot of fire from the cyber space and we are not surprised.
According to her, the lady who identified herself as Shika said she preferred guys who drove a car instead of a motor.
When inquired about her preference for Mercedes, she cited her relatives who she claimed, had boyfriends who owned the luxury car.
At this point, somewhere in Malaysia, millions of Myvi owners probably looked at their car keys and wondered what exactly they had done wrong.
And naturally, netizens were not about to let the matter pass quietly. One netizen suggested she reflect on herself first before demanding such high standards.
“I am confused now. Is it she who rejects people or she was rejected?” wondered netizen I m m.
Then there was Maya Aisharlina making a subtle shot with her question:

Ayu had an even more savage question for her:

Also, rynaa shared with pride the iphone 16 that her boyfriend who drove a Myvi bought for her.

“Man, if I had a female friend like this, I’d seriously just leave her by the side of the road,” added another angry netizen.
Then there was a netizen pointing out the irrelevance of a Myvi or a Mercedes, stating that when everyone dies, they will ride in a hearse.
So perhaps Malaysian men driving Myvis should not take this personally. Think of it as natural selection.
The Myvi is simply helping them filter out potential partners who might judge their entire personality by the badge on the bonnet.
And honestly, there are worse things in life than being rejected because you drive a Myvi. At least you still have your Myvi.
And Myvi owners are probably laughing all the way home after paying their low monthly instalment.— Focus Malaysia
