MACC denies involvement with death plunge man in Kuching

KUCHING - The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Comission (MACC) has denied rumours that a retired income tax officer, who was found dead on Monday, was called in for interrogation.

MACC officer Nor Azlan Gazali, who was holding the fort while his director was having a meeting in Kuala Lumpur, said someone was at the MACC office here but not the person who was found dead.

He said he is not authorised to speak and the police are investigating.

Ho Hong Chai, 57, from Green Heights, was found dead on the roofing of the first floor at the Sultan Iskandar building at Simpang Tiga which housed the Federal departments.

A bank officer on the ground floor was at the ATM when he heard a loud sound and thought it was an animal’s organ that was flung down.

He then saw blood gushing from the roof of the first floor. It was pouring at the time of the incident.

Ho’s head was smashed and found on him was a wallet, car keys and a mobile phone.

A file and slippers belonging to Ho was later found at the 17th floor which housed the Federal Secretary office.

His wife later went to the Sarawak General Hospital to identify the body.

She was too traumatized to talk but told police that her husband retired at the age of 47.

Kuching OCPD Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mun Kok Keong said the case has been classified as sudden death and police are investigating.
