Overseas Grads Are More Politically Mature?

LOOK AT UMNO'S DOUBLE-STANDARD? HERE, IN MALAYSIA, STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN POLITICS BUT OVERSEAS THEY FORM POLITICAL CLUBS TO PROMOTE POLITICS?

Among the itinerary of DPM Muhyiddin's visit to Australia is meeting with Kelab UMNO Australia/New Zeland. The Club consists also of students studying in the universities there.

It is also good for students in universities to participate in the nation building process and not solely on their academic studies. Those who have studies overseas will know that students can get involved in politics or become members of political wings set up in the universities.

In BolehLand, the undergrads are not allowed to participate in politics or get involved as well as join political parties. Though it is an open secret that UMNO clubs and members are allowed to exist in universities including in the Mara colleges.

It's odd that BolehLand students going overseas are allowed and even recruited by local political parties, namely UMNO but the local undergrads are being reminded of the UCA and ISA if they get involved in politics.

Does it mean overseas students are more mature or the government there more tolerant than back home? And the students being political members in overseas universities especially those under government scholarships are really abusing taxpayer's money if they belong to any political parties. Doesn't matter if the students are UMNO or Pakatan members.

Which brings to the point if JPA or PSD will take issue if their sponsored students overseas are members of opposition parties. But expect for them to disapprove of the students who are affiliated to non BN parties while turning a blind eye to those who are members of the government's political party, no?

If this is so, isn't it a form of corruption and abuse for using taxpayers money to fund students who members of political parties?

The opposition is taking the cue from UMNO and they are also spreading their political wings overseas, namely in UK where Friends of Pakatan have been visible lately.

So given this situation we have two sets of graduates in BolehLand. The local ones who are still schoolkids mentality with regards to involvement in the political process when they graduate, and the overseas graduates who are more politicised, even if it tends to be towards one political party.

What say our stifled and muffled home undergrads that their overseas counterpart enjoy political freedom while they are hurled to court and sacked for being involved in politicis or an election process? And we get worried the young ones are confused about politics?
