KUALA LUMPUR - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was admitted to Hospital Kuala Lumpur here Thursday night for further investigation after he had experienced abdominal discomfort, said the Director General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Mohd Ismail Merican.
He said in a statement issued late Thursday night that an endoscopy was done on Najib and it revealed superficial ulcers and mild gastritis.
"He has been started on treatment and is recovering well," Dr Mohd Ismail said, adding that the prime minister was expected to remain in hospital for a few days.
