Rakyat Malaysia: It would be better to spend RM77 million for the benefit of the people than giving the money to Apco. BN wasted money to doing a useless image marketing but has never done anything real for the people other than shouting '1Malaysia' brainlessly.
Fly Emirates: Israeli-linked companies have been known to disguise their business and country of origin so often, so I for one do not buy what they say. In case Nazri is not aware, due to pressure from the Muslim world, Israeli companies have moved their corporate head offices from Tel Aviv to Geneva, New York, London, etc, to give an appearance that they are not from Israel.
Even a certain persimmon sold in Malaysia claiming to be the sweetest persimmon in the world originates from a certain valley in Israel.
Wira: Nazri, Your thinking is flawed.
1. If an affidavit is proof, then Najib Razak must be guilty because private investigator P Balasubramaniam also made a sworn statement against him. Remember Najib's response? He swore to God he never met Altantuya Shaariibuu. Is this the standard of proof required in Malaysia to nail or to get someone out of trouble?
2. Nazri, you are entitled to what you believe. Just be aware that you are an interested party. However, don't be a hypocrite.
3. Anwar was not given the chance to defend himself at the rights and privileges committee even though the opposition parliamentarians had demanded that prior to a decision by the committee. Why ask for his defence now after you have sentenced him?
Pants on Fire: No one is stupid to have accepted RM77million and then say they are linked to Israel.
You call it nation building, others call it propaganda
Albert: Frankly, PM Najib is spending unnecessary rakyat money to enhance his image and popularity among the rakyat so that the Umno-led BN will win the next GE.
Since he became the PM, we have noticed that most of his efforts are directed at talking about his so many slogans (e.g. 1 Malaysia, etc) which look and sound impressive, but I seriously doubt that even his DPM will have trouble understanding them, if not agreeing.
Shouldn't Najib be taking concrete actions to correct the injustices done to the minority races for the past 40 years due to the blatant abuse of Article 153?
Henry Hock: I am scratching my head, confused and surprised that some friends of the same upbringing can be credulously persuaded by this fancy slogan. Action speaks louder than words.
The rakyat will see the true intention of 1Malaysia if draconian and discriminatory laws are repealed. In addition, if those supporting 'ketuanan Melayu' are arrested immediately and charged, then we may start to consider the seriousness of 1Malaysia.
Sarawakian: If you care to read about the Nazi history, you will find a lot of reference to Hitler's savvy use of public relation to promote his 'ketuanan' policy. That was how the Germans were fooled and whipped into a frenzy to support him in his persecution of the Jews.
Cala: Sarawakian, well said. During World War II, the embattled Japanese emperor used the same tactic and drummed into Japanese minds that they were the descendants of a heavenly race, and by extension a superior race. To invade China and those countries around, Japan took it upon itself to cleanse this world of inferior elements.
When Japan lost the said war, the emperor behaved like a mouse by putting all the blame on his military for giving him wrong advice (through American's public relation machineries).
By the way, BN has already started campaigning. Reread this Malaysiakini news '1M'sia not a BN political tool, says Najib'. Take a look at the vertical banner contained therein, and you will spot something at the bottom which is unmistakably a BN logo. - Malaysiakini
