DO YOU KNOW THE MAID-RAPE MINISTER OR VVIP NOW !!!!!

Extract from Malaysia Chronicle :

I did not name him but others did. ‘He’ is Malaysia’s Cabinet minister who allegedly raped his Indonesian maid 3 years ago. He is a lawyer by profession and obtained his PhD from King’s College London.

In 2007 Malaysia nominated its Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage to replace the outgoing Commonwealth secretary-general, Don McKinnon, whose term would have expired in March 2008.

This minister was a strong contender for the post having once served as Foreign Minister. There had never been a secretary–general from Asia before and a Malaysian ‘victory’ was imminent. Countries in the region – Singapore, Brunei and New Zealand, also supported Malaysia’s bid.

Malaysia’s High Commission in London where the Commonwealth secretariat is based was geared up to lobby support for its candidate. Visiting Commonwealth heads of state were ready to meet this man. As part of Malaysian’s campaign, the candidate even planned a visit to London to rally support.

Then out of the blue, the nominee dropped his bombshell.

The strange thing was that hours earlier, he had been discussing the Malaysian campaign strategy with Foreign Minister Syed Hamid Albar at a Cabinet meeting.

The nominee’s announcement to withdraw from the race apparently shocked the Cabinet and stunned the government.

So what happened in those crucial hours from the time he finished discussing his campaign, to the time he made his personal announcement? Who did this man speak to? More importantly, who had contacted him? What was discussed that ‘persuaded’ him to withdraw his candidacy?

Now read what is reported in Wikipedia:

Origin

Rais was born from the couple Mohammad Yatim or Jatin bin Tahir tittle Pandeka Takue (father) and Siandam (mother). His father was a merchant who came from Palupuh, Agam, West Sumatra. In the 1920s, his father migrated to Klang and went to Gagu. While Siandam his mother, came from Kampung Sipisang, Palupuh, Agam and wander to Sungai Serai, Kampong Katub, Lenggeng and finally in Jelebu.

[edit]Education and legal career

He is a lawyer by profession. In 1964, he graduated from Language Institute, Kuala Lumpur. In 1968, he taughtBahasa Malaysia to the American Peace Corps in the United States. He obtained his honors degree from National University of Singapore. In 1994, he obtained a PhD from King's College London. His doctoral dissertation was eventually published in 1995 as Freedom Under Executive Power in Malaysia: A Study of Executive Supremacy.[1]

[edit]Political career

Rais has held various positions in the national cabinet and other state government positions. He had been appointed a Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan (1978 - 1982), Minister of Land and Regional Development (1982-1984), Minister of Information (1984-1986) and Foreign Minister (1986-1987).

When he was out of favour within the UMNO leadership, he resumed his law career. Rais worked with a firm called Raim, Rais & Partner (1987-1999) before being reappointed as cabinet minister in 1999.

In June 2007, Rais was nominated as a candidate for the post of the next Commonwealth Secretary-General afterDon McKinnon's term in office ended in March 2008. However, he pulled out on July 26, citing the lateness of campaigning, and his duties and commitments as the Main Committee of the upcoming 50th Merdeka celebrations, which limited him from traveling out of the country to lobby for his candidacy.[2]

Rais served another term as Foreign Minister from March 18, 2008 until April 9, 2009. Since April 10, 2009, he has been the Information Minister.

[edit]Controversy

On 17 January 2010, as Minister of Information, he warned Malaysians to be wary of the Internet as it was introduced by the West, saying "We are not saying they cannot use Facebook or Twitter, but when using such facilities, they must upkeep the values taught by Islam, Buddhism or Christianity to maintain our culture". Unlike the mainstream media which is tightly controlled by the Malaysian government, the internet and blogosphere has allowed a wide range of criticism against it. [3]

In response, Twitter users launched a flurry of tweets marked with a #yorais hashtag [4] (a parody of Yo Mamma jokes), pushing the topic at one point into the top three trending topics on Twitter, topping the 2010 Haiti earthquake and Kraft's takeover of Cadbury.[5] [6]

Most recently, in July 2010, he has, along with Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein, accused Anwar Ibrahim of being a CIA agent based on a blog article. [7]Despite Hishamuddin admitting that they had no evidence to actually arrest Anwar, Rais pled to former UMNO members in PKR to leave PKR and stay loyal to the nation by rejoining UMNO. [8] In December 2010, in a high profile case whereby a Malaysian minister was accused of raping his Indonesian maid (who subsequently lodged a police report), Rais Yatim's name surfaced as the alleged minister in several political blogs, including that of Raja Petra Kamarudin. The case is still pending further investigation as of 27th December 2010.

I DID NOT SAY IT - YOU JUST READ IT FOR YOURSELF AND FOUND OUT.

THE GUESSING GAME IS NOW OVER.
