KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 20 — Merlimau state assemblyman Datuk Mohamad Hidhir Abu Hasan is in critical condition and is currently on life support in hospital.
The Umno assemblyman had been admitted to Hospital Putra Melaka on January 14 after suffering from a heart attack.
It is understood that state Umno leaders are with him in the hospital now, while Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam is on his way there.
“He is in critical condition... according to my Umno friends, all the Umno excos are there right now and are waiting for the CM to arrive,” PKR Youth Chief Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin told The Malaysian Insider.
“He is on life support right now. I am on the way there to see him,” PKR Youth Chief Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin told The Malaysian Insider.
Shamsul had earlier tweeted the news on micro-blogging site Twitter.
“YB Hidzir, ADUN Merlimau kritikal, di ICU Hosp Putra, b/p menurun 80/50, sdg bergantung dgn bantuan pernafasan. Didoakan beliau survive. (YB Hidzir is in Hospital Putra ICU, blood pressure decreasing 80/50, on life support... I pray he survives),” Shamsul had posted on Twitter.
