Selangor’s Sri Muda assemblyman Shuhaimi Shafiei will apologise to the Selangor Sultan if the latter was offended by his remarks on the state secretary crisis, said PKR Youth today.
However, the movement’s vice-president, Azmizam Zaman Huri, blamed the Sultan’s aides for the furore and claimed they had acted on inaccurate reports of Shuhaimi’s statement.
“Shuhaimi said he was ready to apologise if the Sultan was offended,” Azmizam told reporters today after meeting Shuhaimi yesterday.
“It is the Sultan’s aides who gave the wrong advice to the Sultan. They depended on news reports that misinterpreted Shuhaimi’s remarks,” he added.
