KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 — The government will not release the list of current PublicService Department (PSD) scholars, Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz said today.
The minister in the Prime Minister’s Department explained that it was not the government’s policy to do so, saying that there was no “guarantee” that scholarship woes would be resolved by releasing such a list.
“It is not the government’s policy to disclose those who managed to obtain (PSD) scholarships,” said Nazri (picture) in reply to a question from Fong Po Kuan (DAP-Batu Gajah) in Parliament today.
Fong had argued that proper disclosure of PSD scholars would end confusion to the on-going debacle over government aid to top scorers in the country.
