When people die like flies, something must wrong with the govt

When people die like flies, something must wrong with the govt

So many citizens have died without a single war. Where? In Malaysia! Not owing to famine. Not becuase of an epidemic or a massive natural disaster. But brutally ended under the very eyes and perhaps hands (directly or indirectly) of our protectors of life.

The TBH 'suicide' episode is still not resolved. It seems to be so complex to solve. Even Osama could be tracked across the globe and be done with. But not the TBH case. Wonder why.

The Sarbani shocker is now gripping the nation. Again it is many pendulum swings between the police and the AG's office (mind you we have yet not got to Expose Episode Part Five). Wonder why.

The C4 incident that literally shredded a foreign national was also another dasdardly act committed by the law keepers and not some underworld henchmen, a communist insurgent or a terrorist. Wonder why?

And now we hear of three youths who knelt in the face of a 'bang, bang' death. Also under the hands of the law protectors. Wonder why?

It is claimed that hundreds of deaths are registered while under the purview and protection of those entrusted to protect the citizens. Wonder why?

Each dead person is either branded as a corrupt official or a parang-weilding gangster on the run. Wonder why?

Yet PERKASA remains silent. Yet UMNO loyalists remain mum. BN compatriorts have not heard of any of these deaths under detention or investigation yet, so they are in the dark still.

Only the opposition and NGOs are crying for justice. They are only asking that the real culprit be nailed without fear or favor. But that plea too is taking an endless wait. Wonder why?

But the pro-UMNO loyalists are already jumping the gun again and rebutting that the opposition parties have a hidden agenda. They do not demand a through investigation 'without fear or favor' as in the way the opposition and NGOs and caring citizenry do. Wonder why?

In a civilized world the entire legal fraternity would have downed their tools of their trade for hours to get the message home loud and clear. But in Malaysia its the same malady: Let the authorities do their job first.

Billions of ringgit leaving our shores is not a problem. All kinds of 'you help me - I help you' deals being inked and its not a problem. Officials spending millions to renovate their homes when their salary is no match to corporate CEOs is also not a problem.

So its no small wonder that a few hundred deaths while under investigation and or custody is also a 'no problem mah' cause in Malaysia. And for as long as that be the case, we will have many more deaths without war.

Now we all wonder not 'why' but 'for how long'?
