WILL UMNO/BN 'FALL' ON 9 JULY ?

Although this seems not impossible, given that the rakyat is really 'unhappy' with the way UMNO/BN is administering this country - corruption, cronyism and nepotism.

9 July is the day Malaysians are expected to MARCH to demand for a fair and clean elections and wants the Election Commission to ensure that all future elections will subscribe to the 8 point demand of :

1.Clean the electoral roll
2.Reform postal vote
3.Use indelible ink
4.Free and fair access to media
5.Minimum 21 days campaign period
6.Strengthen public institutions
7.Stop corruption
8.Stop dirty politics

Yesterday, the Election Commission 'out of fear' or were 'instructed' to issue an ultimatum to BERSIH to call-off the 9 July rally and sit down and talk. But most of them feel that there has been too much talk but no action from the Election Commission. So, why should they call the rally off?

What is going to be their next move?

The best possible solution would be for the whole Election Commission personnel to RESIGN en-masse paving a way to revamp the election system.

But one thing is certain, UMNO/BN needs to 'use' the current Election Commission personnel to achieve their goal of regaining victory at the 13 general election by 'hook or crook'. It is a known fact that UMNO/BN would used every dirty tactics known to win. Just look at Sarawak, money was given to voters to vote. Any small child would know this is corruption but the BN administration claims its travelling charges reimbursement while the Election Commission 'just keeps quiet'.

UMNO seems to be using PERKASA and others to instill fear, so that the 9 July BERSIH rally
would not take place.

Polis DiRaja Malaysia has already issued a statement that 'no police permit' will be issued. Would they resort to 'acid water cannons and tear gas' to dispurse the crowd, while PERKASA was given a police permit within 24 hours of applying where seditious remarks were made against the Chinese community.

According to our Federal Constitution, peaceful street demonstrations do not require a police permit since amble time and opportunity had already be given to the Election Commission to 'clean-up'.

This is the voice of the rakyat that is speaking and feel that the UMNO/BN government and the Election Commission will only bulge once they see the sentiments on the ground on this crucial issue.

It is true that business operations would be disrupted but since the UMNO/BN government and Election Commission does not want 'to listen' , a large scale protest demonstration would attract awareness and world attention, which will subsequent make these institutions to 'wake-up' and resolve the issue.

THE ONLY FEAR is that, this rally could even see the fall of UMNO/BN government if this issue is not properly handled since the rakyat are really 'unhappy with UMNO/BN and could turn out to be similar to the recent Egypt and other Middle East riots.
