Rumors blowing in Labuan few weeks ago it was true that the Federal Territories Minister Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin will be chosen as BN candidate for the Federal Territory of Labuan in the next general election because Labuan only safe place for him to remain in the Cabinet after his term as senator ends soon.
Prior to the appointment of the Acting Head of Labuan Umno division, Datuk Yunus Kurus as a Senator, confidential discussions were held between Jonah, Vice Chairman and Secretary of the Division to ensure that Labuan MP Datuk Yusof Mahal was appointed as the Chairman of Perbadanan Labuan, while Yunos was appointed as a Senator and King Nong Chik in Labuan will represent the 13th general election.
Although Yusof has a bad record with the Labuan Corporation and other parties objected to the appointment as Chairman of Perbadanan Labuan Yusof, Raja Nong Chik but who dare not ignore the objections voiced by the people of Labuan just to make sure he has a place to compete at the next general election .
Yusof appointment as Chairman of the Labuan Corporation, if true, did not give any meaning because he could not remain long in the office of Labuan as a High Court decision on August 9, 2011 will determine the political future.
Yusof is the Deputy Chairman of the Labuan Corporation has failed to complete the project after the sacking of New Market Labuan sub-contractors and stole Nautical Piling Sdn Innovation (owned sub-contractors) worth more than RM1 million from sub-contractors and deceptive Labuan Corporation to pay him an advance of RM4 million, while all the work carried out by the Nautical Innovation Sdn.
Politics is, if true, would make Labuan as 'Colonial Politics UMNO' for Members of Parliament will be imported from Peninsular Malaysia came after there was no safe place to continue his political career Raja Nong Chik.
In this case, the Chief Secretary and the Attorney General failed to advise the Labuan Corporation and Raja Nong Chik Yusof for not appointing the Chairman of Labuan Corporation until his court case is complete judgments.
According to schedule, Yusof will take the oath as Chairman of the Labuan Corporation on June 10, 2011 to replace Dato 'Ahmad Bin Talib Phesal.
By tradition, members of Parliament will be appointed as the Chairman of Labuan Labuan Corporation, but in the case Yusof rather odd as though he was a Member of Parliament for Labuan since March 2008, but only to hold office on June 10, 2011 if all the programs running as planned.
Meanwhile, Jonah is one of six Senators sworn in last Monday with the President of the Indian Muslim Congress Malaysia, Datuk Syed Ibrahim Kader, Vice President of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Datuk Chin Su Phin, Women UMNO Exco, Norliza Abdul Rahim and Chief Branch Justice Party (PKR) Merbok, Saiful Izham Ramli. Their appointments take effect May 20 last year.
Senator Quota positions Labuan has long vacated after the last incumbent, Datuk Omar Bledram had died several years ago.
