ONG: Tourism Minister Ng Yen Yen openly told the whole world that she became an Australian PR (permanent resident) with absolutely no intention of staying there, but with the sole intention of getting cheap education for her son.

Her son, who according to her is a "very successful lawyer" should be able to explain to her that she actually cheated in her application for Australian PR.

The fees payable would have been what were charged of citizens and PRs, which was then either nothing or just for a song.

Ng abused the loopholes in Australian law and took advantage of the PR status given to her, knowing very well she was not going to require it in the longer term.

Either he couldn't secure a place locally because of the quota system which is the failure of MCA, or you agree that Australia is a better place for your son's future.

But the point is, not all Malaysians can afford to do this. That is why we have to remove corruption to make Malaysia a better place for all of us.

YF: Ng, do you understand what Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng was saying? He was saying not everyone is as corrupted and rich as MCA politicians who can afford PR status.

Instead most Ah Lians and Ah Kows have to work hard just to earn a living, battling the racist policies of this country from education to loans to jobs, etc.

The reason you do not understand Lim's statement is because you do not understand the plight of the non-Malays. MCA has lost touch of the people they supposedly represent. And MIC is no different.

Both parents are doctors. They can't afford to send their son for his education? And they are proud of having taken a free ride at others' expense.

Wira: Lim is absolutely correct. Not every Malaysian is able to get PR status in Australia because he/she is not like Ng.

Elected leaders must sacrifice for the people (like Lim going to jail because he fought for injustice over the rape of a minor by an influential politician), over and above sacrificing for a son.

There is no misunderstanding here. It is a case of a dishonest Malaysian who became a minister. The basic struggle of MCA, i.e. championing the Chinese cause, had been lost a long time ago.

Apart from a few good guys like Ong Tee Kiat and Lee Kim Sai, MCA never really had good quality politicians. Most of the MCA leaders are there for the spoils and some crumbs thrown to them by Umno.

And they wonder why MCA is becoming irrelevant.
