DAP’s 'No Confidence' motion agst Musa Aman REJECTED without reason

DAP’s 'No Confidence' motion agst Musa Aman REJECTED without reason
Speaker of Sabah State Legislature today disallowed non-confidence motion against Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Aman, without any reason be informed.
The sitting of state assembly is reopening from 16 to 18 July 2012. The said impeach motion is submitted by paper to Datuk Speaker but unfortunately it has been rejected without any reason and it has damaged the spirit of democracy, which people has the right to know.
Jimmy Wong, the only DAP representative in Sabah state assembly, has expressed his disappointment to media that the people deserved an answer for the allegations on Musa Aman involving the timber corruption, which was reported by The Sarawak Report earlier.
According to Sarawak Report, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigating on the S$16 million cash smuggling case in Hong Kong had concluded that the Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman had corruptly issued timber licenses to his brother Foreign Minister Anifah Aman worth RM400 million.
However, while MACC starts their investigation on Musa Aman, it had been reported that MACC was asked by “top level” officers to stop the investigation. This makes the report still unresolved and unclear until today.
Side-kick Michael Chia
On note of that, MP Chua Tian Chang had enquired of the Prime Minister what had happened to the Anti-Corruption Commission investigation into major money-laundering by the Sabah resident Michael Chia, who is a known side-kick of the Chief Minister, Musa Aman.
The reply from Prime Minister is that “The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has conducted investigations into the Michael Chia case which is linked to the Sabah chief minister. It has been completed and presented to the AGC for study and a decision”
Wong believes that the Prime Minister is trying to cover the investigation result, otherwise the government should give a better reply than that.
“Besides, a recent complaint under Swiss criminal law has been lodged by lawyers against UBS AG bank on end of June 2012. It follows the devastating revelations about the bank’s involvement in the channeling of nearly a hundred million dollars of timber kickback money linked to the Chief Minister and his family.” Wong added in accordance with Sarawak Report.
Earlier, DAP Sabah had made a police report over this article. If the allegations are true, it is one of the largest and most extensive investigations ever undertaken by MACC that involved sums amounting to billions of ringgit that are siphoned out of the State through corruption at the highest level.
“We deserve an answer for this corruption case on our Chief Minister Musa Aman. He (Musa) should take a break from the position of Chief Minister until the investigation over. If Musa is innocent, then please the government should investigate on him to prove it!” Wong concluded.

Although not complete as legal proof, the quotation correlate with Raja Petra's story in EPISODE 20 where he claimed Tian Chua demanded a USD10 million kickback on top of the compensation Azam and Azam is seeking from the Selangor State Government.

  5. This allegation did not come from UMNO or any authority that could be linked back to UMNO but from one pro opposition writer against an opposition leader.

  6. What will Tian Chua respond? Will he choose to ignore and remain quiet? or divert by bringing up Musa Aman scandal corruption?
