Azmin's Raya no-show upsets mum
Che Tom Yahaya, the mother of PKR deputy president Azmin Ali, has again gone public to express her disappointment towards her son - this time for not visiting home during the Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebration.
"This year, we did not do any preparations to celebrate Aidil Fitri. There is not meaning for us to do that if he (Azmin) as a son is unwilling to return home and ask for forgiveness from me," she was quoted as saying in a Utusan Malaysia report today.
Che Tom, added in the report that because of the disappointment, she had asked her other children to celebrate away from Kuala Lumpur where Azmin is based.
"I and my three daughters including Ummi Hafilda (left) and my grandchildren chose to celebrate in Malacca because we are disappointed with Azmin who has not returned to see me for more than a year.
"He finds PKR supremo Anwar Ibrahim more important than his mother and siblings because of his political interest," she was quoted as saying.
Che Tom, 79, had in May this year went public for the first time in criticising her son, who is also Bukit Antarabangsa state assemblyperson and Gombak MP, for refusing to visit her since August last year.
